BIO

Chelle Barbour works at the intersection of visual poetics and cultural inquiry. Barbour draws on collage as both method and metaphor. Through fragment, juxtaposition, and reconfiguration, she constructs alternative realities that challenge inherited narratives and invite viewers into expansive meditations on identity, futurity, and liberation. Her Afro-Surrealist and Afro-Futurist sensibility is central to this vision, allowing her to move beyond documentary representation into realms of spiritual resonance, speculative possibility, and radical imagination.
